Babies spend their first 9 months immersed in liquid. It comes naturally to them at a very young age. Think baby whale. My youngest we introduced to the water at a very young age aprox. 3 months. She was a natural and excellent underwater swimmer. It is very strange to me how so many humans wrap their babies up so that they are incapable of movement. Is there any other animal on the face of this planet???? All the other animals start moving on their own from birth. Traditionally in Inuit culture babies were made to crawl along the side of their mom to latch on for nursing. A sort of patency test. It is absolutely amazing to see that humans are capable of doing this!!! At a time when babies are growing and developing so fast Why Why Why would we wrap them up so they are incapable of using their incredible talents. And reflexes from birth? Give them some freedom to do what they were born to do and you will be amazed. Babies deserve a lot more credit than we often give them. Babies also understand long before they speak. By the time you realize they can speak their first word they have been trying to learn And communicate for a long time. Don't sell them short. Talk and teach lovingly from day one. All four of my kids spoke and understood over 100 words by age one. Don't treat them as dummies. They are listening.
|Babies are Natural Swimmers belive it or not|
When a baby is able to walk, they can even be taught how to survive until help arrives if they fall into the water without the ability to swim.
